HOW DO YOU BUILD A GAME SOLO?! Claude Opus 5.5 + Sonnet 5.5 + Tripo + Unity 6: 31 sessions, about $88 at list price.

Me: the design and the play-testing. Tripo: the models. Opus: the hard geometry and art direction. Sonnet: the clear, checkable work. A shell script: the queue.

  1. Bring in the Tripo models: the heroine (70k triangles), the cat (80k), the dog, the ray (30k), the toaster (30k), the spoon (12k). 16 models in all, $8.20
  2. One task per fresh session
  3. Every brief opens with the same header: the scale of the world (hero 1.65 m, counter top at y = 36), what already works, one task. Never delete files. If a step fails twice, stop and write the exact error
  4. Every brief ends with a check line: grow the coil, climb, take, jump, glide, land
  5. Opus got 17 sessions for $70 (spoon bridge, room look, rope, parachute). Sonnet got 14 for $17 (materials, props, UI, sounds), most under 10 minutes
  6. A script runs the briefs in a row. On a usage limit it reads the reset time, waits and reruns the same brief with one extra line: check what exists and continue. It resumed itself twice overnight
  7. Each session appends 15 lines to a progress file: what works, what is still wrong, files changed

The rule: feel is my job. I play the level, write down what is wrong, and that list becomes the next brief.

The header and the script are in the article.

Do you hand Claude the whole game in one prompt, or a queue of small tasks?
