4 weeks building a real game with Claude Opus 5.5.

~330 hours of Claude at work, up to 7 sessions at once
444 commits, 500+ automated tests
38 billion tokens on one $200/month subscription (~$12,100 at API prices)

Not a one-shot. Here's the setup, steal it:

1. Give Claude a memory
CLAUDE.md holds the work rules (git, security) and the game's hard rules (bosses never flash, effects stay translucent). A memory folder keeps one fact per file, with an index loaded every session. A new session starts already knowing the project.

2. Run sessions in parallel, one git worktree each
Each session has its own branch, folder and dev server port. Before editing, it tells the others which files it touches, and it commits only its own hunks (git apply --cached). Whoever pushes second rebases.

3. Make Claude check its own work
Every visible change gets a script that drives the real game in headless Chrome and Firefox, desktop and phone, and saves screenshots that Claude actually looks at. For a bug fix, the script must fail on the old code first.

4. Mockups first, inside the real game
For a new screen or name, Claude injects a mockup into the running game without touching the code, captures it on desktop and phone, and waits for my go. Only then does it write the real thing.

5. Run the real game headless
The server runs the browser's main.js in Node: real three.js math, stubbed renderer, fake DOM. That's the co-op host. Same trick for balance: bots that play like a strong player, thousands of runs, same seeds before and after.

6. 3D through the Blender MCP
Claude works live in my open Blender: it builds the piece, renders six views on one sheet, critiques them, fixes it, exports a GLB, then checks it in-game from every angle. Lesson: variations of the original models beat remakes.

7. Even the trailer is code
A capture script films the fights in the real game, the whole cut lives in one montage.json, and Remotion renders each language with one command. That's the trailer in this post.

Other AI: Suno for the music. Claude also drafts the in-game text and the English translation, which I review.

The game: Alandys, a co-op roguelite in three.js. Free in your browser, coming to Steam in November.

(Numbers from Claude Code's local logs, Sept 22 to Oct 18.)
