Small one for today. I've been working on a prototype for our Studio: Glen & Chill.
A prototype is allowed to be ugly. It's not allowed to be pointless. Every game I've loved started as grey boxes and bad placeholder sound. The question was never "does it look good yet?" (Although I tend to fall for it, I love good visuals) It's "is there one second in there that feels RIGHT?"
AI didn't change that test for me. It helps me analyze and understand a few things a bit more deeply.
I'm using our game studio assets to make it look better, but I'm focusing on the fun of the game right now (you might recognize Thalia in chibi form made by our 3D artist for @NumWorlds). I'm also making assets with AI (primitives) to fill the gaps. And a few UI Icons.
Once that's done, the art team comes into play and replaces those temporary assets. We're not there yet but that's part of a few processes I've implemented at the Studio.
Made with Cursor, Grok 4.7, and Opus 5.5, and @threejs
