Week 11 of building a fishing game almost entirely with AI
This week the entire workflow ran on Opus 5.5.
No Astra at all.
The biggest addition is a complete prologue with its own scene, alongside another round of polishing and fixes based on feedback from the public demo.
The workflow behind the game is also getting pretty interesting.
There are separate Opus sessions for fishing, quests, shaders and other systems, plus one Manager session that coordinates them.
Each agent gets a different reasoning effort depending on the job, while a decisions.md file tracks every design decision as either [USER] or [AI].
After 11 weeks and roughly $800 spent, Nightshoal has gone from an AI game-dev experiment to a real game with a public build, players giving feedback and a Steam page on the way.
