GPT Image 1 和 GPT Image 1.5 即将退役
GPT Image 1 and GPT Image 1.5 are being retired
OpenAI is retiring GPT Image 1 and GPT Image 1.5 from its API. Both models are now unlisted on Scenario: they no longer appear in the model catalog, but the workflows, apps and API integrations that already use them keep working until each shutdown date.
Shutdown dates
- GPT Image 1: stops working on October 23, 2026.
- GPT Image 1.5: stops working on December 1, 2026.
After these dates, generations with these models will fail. Images you already generated stay in your library.
How to migrate
Switch your workflows, apps and API calls to a GPT Image 2.5 model before the shutdown date:
- GPT Image 2.5 Flare: fast, high-quality generation and editing for everyday work.
- GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst: the most capable GPT Image model, for work where precision matters most.
Both support transparent backgrounds. GPT Image 2 does not, so pick a 2.5 model if your outputs need transparency.
For API integrations, replace model_openai-gpt-image-1-editing or model_openai-gpt-image-1-5-editing with model_openai-gpt-image-2-5-flare or model_openai-gpt-image-2-5-sunburst. The 2.5 models set the output size with size or width and height instead of aspectRatio, and do not take inputFidelity. They also add higher quality levels and resolutions up to 4K, so check the cost of your new settings before you switch.
