Explainer: How AI game decompiling works 🎮

Old games ship as machine code. No source, just bytes.

Now AI helps turn those bytes back into code people can read. The AI writes a guess, a compiler checks it, and when the bytes match, that piece is solved. Solved code can be rebuilt for PC, phones and the browser.

Fans are already doing it. In the last two weeks: Halo in a browser tab, Skate 3 in a browser, and a Terraria rebuild made with AI.
