Too often, when it comes to AI game development and filmmaking, people's reach exceeds their grasp.
By that, I mean folks immediately set out to create the next sci-fi epic, the next Skyrim, or the next big blockbuster, all in an effort to prove just how incredible AI can be.
But I think the real magic of AI is something much smaller. It's the ability to take a quirky little idea you've always had, something you've always wanted to play or experience, and actually bring it to life.
Submitted for your approval is a mashup of some of my favorite video game genres: the platforming of Donkey Kong, the puzzle-solving chaos of Lemmings, and a little classic pac-man magic.
It's a bite-sized, 2D puzzle platformer designed to be played with one hand, perfect for people on the go, or anyone looking to kill a few minutes with something charmingly ridiculous.
It's not trying to reinvent gaming. It's just the kind of game I've always wanted to play.
And now, thanks to AI, it exists.
Just in time for Halloween, I present the version 0.5 beta of Monster March.
