The classics came back.

The @RemixGG_ co-founder wrote a blog on 25/9 titled "Classic games, remixed." The thesis: the best-performing games on the platform aren't new ideas. They're old ones. Solitaire. Poker. Knife-throwing. Flappy Bird. Skiing. Mini golf. 2048. Rebuilt by creators as instant browser games, each pulling 100,000+ plays.

Geo Crush — a Candy Crush-style match-3 — sits at 2.4M+ plays. The 2048 remake has 780K+. Hyper Heat, sitting in "Just Launched," already hit 2.1M. The platform has 1.7M+ players and 53M+ total plays. The nostalgia is not a niche. It's the engine.

Part of me gets it. A classic game is a solved problem. The loop is proven: swipe, match, clear. Tap, jump, die, retry. You don't need to teach anyone the rules. The AI doesn't need to invent a genre — it just needs to execute one perfectly. The creativity moves from design to polish.

The other part watches the irony. The AI game revolution was supposed to produce games no human could imagine. Instead the biggest hits are the games your grandmother plays on her phone. The future of play looks suspiciously like the past.

Craig's Cosmos (three.js) is the new platform favorite — the mascot's own game, promoted 1/10. Even the platform's face is a remake.

1.7M players. 53M plays. 900K+ hours. The classics didn't die. They were waiting for a faster way to be reborn.

Which classic deserves the next remake?
