Google introduces Playground for AI game creation, launching an experimental platform that allows users to create, play and share custom games using text prompts without coding. Its conversational interface lets creators build characters, establish rules, adjust game physics and modify gameplay through natural-language instructions. Users can test their creations immediately, keep them private, share links or publish games to the Playground Explore gallery. The browser-based platform supports multiplayer gameplay in select genres, in-game leaderboards and community discovery features. Google is also testing an integration with Unity Spark to support more advanced game mechanics and 3D experiences. Playground initially launches for users aged 18 and above in the United States, with creation access based on Google AI subscription tiers.
