As Hytacka's Twitter bio proudly states, the biggest goal of his life is "creating the world's most entertaining action RPG," and now we finally get a sneak peek of it.

FromSoftware's ex-developer Hytacka, who contributed to Dark Souls 3, is working on the second title from Team Hayataka, his own game studio. The developer released a 9.5-minute story trailer for Overseeker after almost a year of complete silence since Team Hayataka's previous release, Rise of Rebellion. This is unsurprising, as Rise of Rebellion was not received well, and Hytacka himself admitted the launch was disappointing, adding that it would be "a while" before he had something new to show.

The moment has come, and from the trailer for Overseeker, Hytacka's latest title, we can see that the new ARPG looks mind-blowing. Noah and Ivy are the main characters in Overseeker. They are sibling assassins who follow an unbreakable moral code: never kill anyone who is not a target. However, Ivy breaks it by killing their close associate, Keegan, which upsets her brother, and a violent fight between the two begins.

After the fight, the wind intensifies, and a glaring meteorite falls from the sky, almost hitting Noah. When everything goes still again, Ivy disappears, and a mysterious tower emerges from the meteorite particles at the top of the hill. Noah goes on a mission to find his sister and discover the secrets behind the enigmatic tower. While it's not entirely clear from the trailer, it seems like the tower is guarded by immensely strong, heavily armed monstrous soldiers that Noah has to fight to reach the top. 

From the trailer, we can see that the game features an intense combat system with a mix of melee attacks, spells, and parries. This seems like a bit of a risky road to go down for the team, since one of the reasons players were not very happy with Rise of Rebellion was its overly complicated combat. 

Hytacka himself handles direction and game design for Overseeker, while Mitsunagi does programming, and Yuri Seibu is responsible for story writing.

The release date for Overseeker is still unknown, and the 9-minute story trailer is all we have for now.
